Embermark Legends

Embermark Legends is the kind of RPG I keep meaning to put down and then don't. You build a party of four, each with distinct roles, and the turn-based fights ask you to actually think about positioning and status effects. It's not button-mashing.

The writing carries it. Side characters have real arcs, and choices in dialogue nudge how allies behave later. Touch controls work well — you tap a target, drag to reorder turns, and the menus never feel cramped even on a smaller screen.

This one does drain the battery during longer dungeon runs, and the phone warmed up noticeably. Turning graphics down to medium fixed most of that without hurting the look much. If you like RPGs and have a couple of hours to sink in, it's easy to recommend.
